The TV Film Forum was established at the turn of the century and since 2000 has obtained its permanent residence in Yalta.
The TV Film Froum is the largest cultural and business event in the post-Soviet region. Every year journalists and cinematographers, as well as pop artists from different countries participate in its contests (“Television programs and films”, “Television feature films”), creative discussions and other events of a vast business and cultural program.
Besides the contests there is also a rich business program that includes the International Congress “Formula of trust”, panel discussions, creative discussions and meetings.
Since 2000 the cultural and business event “The TV Film Forum Echo in Sevastopol” has been held annually during the Forum dates. Meetings with representatives of the city and the fleet, local journalists and mariners are held aboard one of the combat vessels. The program includes a gala concert.
The main idea of the International TV Film Forum “Together” is the idea of a peaceful coexistence of countries and peoples, cultures and traditions. Only together we can live in peace and mutual respect, stand against the threats of war and terror.
In 2004, the TV Film Forum contributed to the inauguration of a sculptural composition “Anton Chekhov and a lady with a dog” in the center of the city. In 2010 a monument to another outstanding representative of our culture, the pioneer of the Russian film industry Alexander Khanzhonkov was open.
Later on the Alley of Stars was inaugurated in the famous embankment. Among others there are stars bearing the names of Vladimir Khotinenko, Alexander Mikhailov, Rustam Ibragimbekov, Andrey Kondrashov, Anna Shatilova, Sergey Nikonenko, Alla Surikova, Vladimir Gostyukhin, writer Yuri Polyakov and other outstanding persons.
Gennady Seleznev, a famous journalist, a prominent statesman and public figure, Chairman of the Russian State Duma of the second and third convocations, was a head of the Organizing Committee of the TV Film Forum from 2000 to 2015. His main credo was: “The TV Film Forum is open to all. Welcome!»
